The Relevance of Biblical Prophecy

And we have the word of prophecy made more sure; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts

II Peter 1:19

“A lamp shining in a dark place …” Thank God for the Word, but thank God for the prophetic word, which is like a lamp shining in a squalid place, that can give us light so that we can read the chart, so that we can see the map, so that we can see where we’re going, so we can understand where we have arrived and at what point we are on the journey. The Relevance of Biblical Prophecy

This book consists of the transcriptions of the 5 messages that Lance Lambert gave at the Christian Family Conference in 1982 regarding the necessity of understanding the prophecies which are expressed in the scriptures through the Holy Spirit.

According to Lance, approximately 27% of the Bible is prophecy. We may think that prophecy is for Christian eccentrics, but actually the Bible says that prophecy is a lamp by which we have understanding of the times in which we live (see II Peter 1:19).

“The Relevance of Biblical Prophecy” is an exhortation to be ready for the Lord to return at any day and any hour, and to know and do the will of God while there is still time.
