The Humility Required for Bible Study
Learn why humility is essential for understanding Scripture. God doesn't have to open His word to us—if there's arrogance in our approach, He won't. Lance shares a practical method for handling passages you don't understand: mark them, leave them, and trust God's timing.
The Book of Genesis — A General Survey
An examination of the first three chapters of Genesis, exploring why they are essential to every major biblical doctrine. Topics include the ancient literary method, the Hebrew names of God (Elohim and Jehovah), the three Hebrew words for creation, and how these chapters contain the church, the gospel, the cross, and God's eternal purpose in seed form.
Elohim and Jehovah — The Names of God
A focused study on the two primary names of God used in Genesis. Elohim reveals God as the mighty Creator emphasizing His majesty and sovereignty, while Jehovah (Yahweh) reveals the intimate God of redeeming love who binds Himself to His people by covenant.
